Bofred BASK Furniture Collection Captures the Textures and Palettes of Durban and Muscat

Bofred Bahla Chair

The golden sandy beaches Durban, South Africa and orangy desert vistas of Muscat, Oman provide the inspiration for a collection of furniture by Bofred. BASK merges the evocative emotions that emerge from both places. The Bofred signature linear style translates across a complementary collection of chairs, tables, and lighting.

The main colour palette drawn from the earth and ocean is warm and earthy, with dark metals and woods providing contrast. The grains of the desert are referenced in the surface textures as seen in the WADI table whose legs form graceful arches inspired by the architectural details of Muscat. The sculptural BAHLA Chair invokes ancient African wood carving traditions and the majestic thrones used by royalty.
